When you join the Pose Clay beta list, we keep your email address so we can tell you when the beta starts. We don’t sell it, we don’t share it for marketing, and this site has no ads and no tracking cookies.
What we store when you join
- Your email address.
- Which form you used (the landing page, the Portrait Library or the Clay Pose Studio), and when.
- The line shown under the form when you joined, as a record of what you agreed to.
- A scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address (a salted hash). It lets us stop one visitor from flooding the list; the address itself is never stored.
- The browser and system name your browser reports (its user agent), to help spot automated sign-ups.
We use these only to run the beta list. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by joining and can take back at any time.
On your device
After you join, this site remembers it in your browser’s local storage, so every form shows “You’re on the list.” That note stays on your device and isn’t sent to us. Clearing this site’s data removes it.
Browsing and downloads
You don’t need an account to browse the Portrait Library, download photos or use the Clay Pose Studio, and we don’t track what you look at. The studio runs in your browser: the poses you make and the pictures you download aren’t sent to us. Like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for a short time, for security and to keep the site running.
Who handles it
The site is hosted by Vercel, and the list is stored in a database run by Neon, both in the United States. They process the data only to provide those services to us. If you’re outside the United States, your information is transferred there.
How long we keep it
Until the beta list is no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
- Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
- To unsubscribe, see what we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, email hello@poseclay.com.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Pose Clay isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their email addresses. If you think a child has joined, email hello@poseclay.com and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page, and if the change matters, we’ll tell the people on the list by email.
